USI and The Ace Eagles Disc Golf Club is where it all began for me. As you will read below this was a surprise to me. My first impressions of disc golf were not good.
Year: USI was Established in 2003 There was not another Disc Golf course in Evansville. USI was the happening place for Disc Golf and the Ace Eagles was the group! This Icon is located at the top of this disc. It is where it all started for me. -These are the original members. Date mid to late 2005. |
The baskets design around the outside of the disc originates from the group to our Southeast.
The Daviess County Crew. Yellow Creek is the first course that I ever played. I HATED disc golf starting on Hole 1 and it continued through the round. That is not a typo. I could not understand why anyone would play this sport. It made no sense what that disc was doing and I had no desire to figure it out. FYI this had nothing to do with the course. Yellow Creek is a great course. Yellow Creek was established in 1999. |
This all leads us to where we are today. The below groups are building our sport in this area too.
Individually and together YOU ALL are moving the needle up for this great sport of Disc Golf.

I have decided in the fall of this year (2019) to start throwing Prodigy.
This was a decision made for a few different reasons. Regardless of the reasons I do promote Prodigy and I believe that their product is worth looking in to. If you are at a crossroads at what to throw or would just like a change let me know. Before switching to Prodigy my bag was mainly Innova. I am very familiar with Discraft. Dynamic Discs I am not familiar with but will learn to help you compare. As in the words of a friend of mine. "I don't get Prodigy at all." Well..... The D Series are all Drivers The F Series are all Fairway Drivers The M Series are all Midranges The PA Series are all Putt and Approach The same friend. "Oh well that makes sense." |
